Dal Parathas

Ingredients:

serving size:4           preparation time:10mins     cooking time:25mins

3 cups whole wheat flour
2 tbsp vegetable shortening or ghee
1 cup chana dal (bengal gram dal), boiled
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp mango powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method:

Mash the boiled dal slightly and mix with the flour.
Add all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough.
Take a lemon sized ball of the dough and roll out into a chapatti.
Lightly grease the chapathi with ghee and fold.
Again roll out and cook on both sides lightly.
Serve hot with mint raita.
