Spinach fry
Ingredients:
3 tbsp oil
1 package(16 oz) of frozen cut leaf spinach
4 tbsp moong daal
5 red chillies cut into small pieces
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
5 big garlic pods split into pieces
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Curry leaves
Method:
In a frying pan over medium heat, pour oil.
Add cut red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, moong daal, split garlic pods and curry leaves.
Fry for a while until mustard seeds splatter.
Then add turmeric powder,salt and spinch.
Cover with the lid and let it simmer.
Stir with the spoon intermittently while covering the lid.
cook for 25 mins.
It goes well with rice.
